The Voice Behind Episode 43 – Bernie Wagenblast
Unlike many of our show notes, this one will not be full of YouTube clips of our guests work. Not because Bernie Wagenblast isn’t on YouTube or that his work isn’t worthy of archival, but for some reason people don’t post a lot of clips from the New York subway system. Funny that.
Bernie isn’t the typical guest on TVB, but that’s part of what makes him awesome. Starting as a traffic reporter in the 1970s, Bernie moved on to becoming the friendliest voice you will here in subterranean New York and large parts of the New York/New Jersey mass transit systems. Bernie talks about his random bursts of fame, his secret ambitions and the influence of Austrians onto the subway system.
