Girl Germs Episode 11 – Basses Wild
This week Girl Germs is going wild—basses wild, that is. Basses Wild is a recurring feature on our blog in which we give props to a female bassist in a mostly male band we wouldn’t necessarily normally play on the show (a “wild card,” if you will). We decided to devote an entire show to these women, and on it you’ll hear some very atypical stuff for us (as much as we love the Melvins, this is probably the only time you’ll ever hear them on our show). Make sure to visit our blog to read about Elizabeth Hart of Psychic Ills, Kira Roessler of Black Flag, Lorna Doom of the Germs, Laura Ballance of Superchunk, Tina Weymouth of Talking Heads, as well as the newest member of the Basses Wild club: Carol Kaye
Don’t forget: our next TV Party with Girl Germs event is going down at the Red Stag Supperclub in Minneapolis Monday, August 8. Join us at 9 p.m. for great music, drink specials and episodes of ‘90s classic Clarissa Explains it All
